MAY RIFFLES IS NOW ON LINE

Picnic Success
Thanks to Ed Higgins and John Roetman the picnic at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center was enjoyed by all who attended. Hot dogs and hamburgers with some trimmings were on the menu, coupled with cold drinks and an endless supply of coffee, both decaf and regular, brewed by Doug Penna.

May 14th Meeting: FLY FISHING IN NORTHERN MONTANA with Bill Hannisch

Bill Hannisch is the chapter president of the Ernest Schwiebert Chapter of TU and a former employee of Yellowstone Park Medical Services. During his years working in Yellowstone in the early 1990s, Bill had the opportunity to extensively explore the northern Rocky Mountain Region. In 2004, Bill purchased an unfinished cabin on the eastern front of the Rocky Mountains near Glacier National Park, MT. On his annual trips to Montana to work on the cabin, Bill has had the opportunity to hike, fish and photograph the region that is often referred to as "The Crown of the Continent Ecosystem". Bill's program will feature some of the fishing opportunities that can be found in Northern Montana including Glacier National Park and the Blackfoot Indian Reservation. The program also features slides on the interesting geology of the area, as well as pictures and information on the regions thriving grizzly bear population.
