Saturday February 25th will kick off Ramsey Outdoor Cabin Fever Days. Speakers for the day will be: Ben Turpin "Pennsylvania Trout Streams and Proven Patterns for Success"; Aaron Jasper "The Playbook of Nymphing"; Joe Demalderis "Fly Fishing the Upper Delaware System"
Reserve the Date
March 24 is the tentative date for our annual dinner and fund raiser. It will be at the Grand Chalet in Wayne on Route 23 South. The food has always been good, the ambiance pleasing and a good time is had by all who attend. There will be door prizes, auctions and other fund raising activities. Members are always welcome to help out with set up and acquiring items for fund raising activities. Contact any board member by phone or in person to volunteer.
Block Island
Tentative plans for the block Island trip are in the process of being finalized. The hoped for dates are June 9-16.
Interested members should contact Paul Reithmeier. There will be a $200 deposit required to hold your place for this trip. Details will be forthcoming as plans are firmed up.
Free Saltwater Registration
There is a new site that went on line on May 4. Go to
salt water registry
to register for if you plan on fishing in saltwater. If you don't register and get caught fishing the salt it can cost you $300 to $3000 dollars.
If you will be fishing New York waters you will also have to have NY's marine registration. It is also free, go to
New York salt water registry.
The process is a bit complicated because you have to go through the process as if you were buying a fishing license. Follow the directions to purchase and you will see "Marine Registry". Go through the form and there will be no charge at the end. If you have a NY license, you have a DEC 12 digit number.
EVERYONE WELCOME
Non-members interested in hearing our speakers are welcome. You don't need to be a member to attend any of our meetings. Check "meeting locations" for directions.
EJTU members are encouraged to bring non-members to our meetings so they may learn about us and hopefully be inclined to join. Members will receive ten points for each new member they get to sign up.
